The Pros And Cons Of All-Inclusive Reception Venues

If you are planning a wedding, you have many decisions to make. One of the key decisions to make is where to hold your reception. The reception venue sets the tone for reception. As you look to select a venue, one of the things that you may find is that many venues are now becoming all-inclusive reception venues. This means that they will handle the decorating, the food and the music and bringing in chairs and tables. If you are looking at a venue that is an all-inclusive reception venue, you may wonder what the pros and cons are. Here are a few of the pros and cons of all-inclusive wedding reception venues.

The Cons of an All-Inclusive Reception Venue

The Price

One of the downsides to an all-inclusive reception venue is the price. All-inclusive venues tend to be higher in price than renting a venue and paying for all of the different suppliers yourself. If you are trying to stick to a tight budget, going this route may not be ideal.

  • The Limited Options

The other disadvantage to an all-inclusive reception venue is that you may have limited options. The reception venue may have a list of contractors that they work with. You may have limited menu options, color options or design choices based on the vendors they use. If you have specific caterers, djs or designers you want to work with for your space, an all-inclusive venue won't work for you.

The Pros of an All-Inclusive Reception Venue

  • Less Planning on Your Part

The biggest benefit to an all-inclusive reception venue is that it requires less planning on your part. As a bride, you may be extremely busy working, finding the right dress, or planning your honeymoon. Planning every little detail of the reception can be time consuming and overwhelming. When you select an all-inclusive reception venue, you have fewer decisions to make. This can free up your time and make planning less stressful.

  • Nothing is Forgotten

The other major benefit to booking an all-inclusive reception venue is that nothing is forgotten. When you hire vendors yourself for your reception, it is easy to overlook some of the smaller details. You may forget that you have to rent linens or plates. When you work with an all-inclusive venue, nothing is forgotten or overlooked, helping to ensure your reception is perfect.

Taking the time to learn about and weigh the pros and cons of an all-inclusive reception venue will help you decide if it is something that you want to get for your wedding or if you want a traditional venue where you can book everything else yourself.
